It’s great to meet you.
As the founder of Timmy Sweetcorn, Kate brings her boundless creativity and passion for playful learning to everything she does. Timmy, our cheeky, cheerful mascot was dreamed up as a symbol of joyful, imaginative childhood, and the spirit of making something magical from the everyday.
With a background in film studies and a deep love for storytelling, Kate now channels her energy into early years education, believing that the best learning happens through play, creativity, and connection.
Whether she’s crafting with nature, building dens from old sheets, or sparking mud kitchen adventures, Kate creates moments full of wonder.
Much of the magic is made possible thanks to Scrapdragon CIC Sheffield, our beloved local scrap store, where Kate also volunteers, championing a circular, community-driven approach to creativity.

When she’s not crafting or chasing after her son Bert, you’ll find Kate swimming lengths, playing bass guitar, or curled up with her three cats and a well-earned sangria. She’s an aunty, a nature-lover, and a big believer in finding magic in the mess.
